Story: Which touches the heart
#My_little_bua: An old story in a whole new style
Read a story somewhere years ago. The writer claims that this is not a story but a true story seen by her eyes. This appeared somewhere again a few days ago so presenting it to you with a little much needed revision.
End of the story I have tried to relieve the tragedy so if you have ever read this story somewhere before you are requested to read it again and whatever I have revised in the story Give your thoughts.
As soon as the festival of Rakshabandhan approached, I used to wait for the Rakhi courier of Bua ji from Jamshedpur (Jharkhand).
What a big parcel Bua ji used to send. Variety of foreign branded chocolates, games, colorful dress for me, saree for mummy, any branded shirt for papaji. They sent a lot of stuff this time too.
Both the Bua ji from Patna and Ramgarh also sent many gifts along with colorful rakhis. Just Rohtas Wali Jaya Bua's rakhi came in an ordinary envelope like every year.
Five rakhis wrapped in a piece of paper and a note of fifty. Mom had placed all four bua ji's packets on the dining table so that dad can return from office and see the gifts sent by her sisters.
As soon as Papa came like Rose, he spread on the sofa with lunch box bag and laptop bag on the tea table.
"Four sister's ashes have arrived... "Mummy had made a voice for dad while offering tea in the kitchen.
"Jaya's envelope just show... "
Papa Jaya used to wait for Bua's Rakhi the most and tie the Rakhi sent by him first.
Jaya Bua was the youngest among all brothers and sisters, but he was the one who had probably never seen happiness since marriage. Immediately after marriage, brother-in-law had seized all the business and evicted them from the house. Since then, uncle's mental condition was not very good. We used to earn a little bit by doing a simple job, which could have been able to go through a lot of difficulties.
Bua used to barely run the house. He also put his only son Shyam in school from the general of the neighborhood. Bua ji was living somehow with a hope that someday good days will come.
Father started thinking about the envelope sent by Jaya Bua. Then they suddenly said, "Gayatri this time on Rakshabandhan, Jaya's house will be called Rohtas (Bihar) without him. "
"Jaya sister's house..!! "Mother was absolutely shocked at the words of father.
"You know not how narrow their house is... How heavy will the breakfast of three of us be for Jaya Didi. How would she manage everything? "
Mom's concern was justified. If you go as a guest somewhere, it doesn't cost you. Even the host has expenses and problems. Papa's silence was telling that he has made up his mind to go to Jaya Bua's house and everyone at home knew that it was very difficult to replace Papa's determination.
We all reached Rohtas by morning bus on Raksha Bandhan. Bua was washing clothes under the tap on the porch built outside the house. Bua was the youngest at his age but tightness and daily worries made him the oldest. So thin thin weak si kaya. The silhouettes on the skin of the face at such a young age. These were not silhouettes but the paw marks of heartless time.
Bua's wedding photo album I had seen many times. Bua was looking gorgeous at the wedding time. How much did the troubles of eleven years after marriage change Bua ji? In a very old ghisi saree, father and mother were watching the father from a distance for some moments. Father's eyes were dubbed.
Bua ji was shocked as soon as we saw all of us. They couldn't understand how and what they react. Handle your scattered hair or repair your busy home? No guest came to her house for years. Guests come to enjoy happiness, don't they come to share sorrows?
It's like the world had already forgotten how guests are called to enter the house. All about Bua ji tells that since childhood he was very fond of cleaning and decorating but today it was seen how scarcity and anxiety eat a person like a termite inside?
Often Bua ji had to extend his hand in front of someone and sometimes in front of someone for small needs. The circumstances were that most of the relatives had stopped picking up their phone. He was just a father who used to give his father some time despite his limited salary. Papa went forward and hugged his sister.
"Brother, sister-in-law, Mannu you all suddenly today?
All is well right...? "Bua asked in a trembling voice.
"Today after years, I felt like coming to your house in Rakhi, we all came... "Papa had told Bua to be spontaneous.....
Sister-in-law, please come inside. I bring the tea breakfast. "Jaya Bua had said taking mother's hands in her cold palms.
"When you just sit beside me. Gayatri will see tea breakfast. "
We stopped on the way to Bua Ji's house and took lots of sweets and salts. Mom went to the kitchen and started setting plates for everyone. On the other side, Bua was sitting beside her brother on the cot in the room. Bua ji's son Shyam had ran and called uncle.
The moment of tying Rakhi was till 7 pm. Mummy went to the mall with her sister in law, new dresses for everyone and groceries for Bua ji house. The hulia of the whole house had changed in the evening. New curtains, new sheets on bed, colorful door mate, and the whole family was pretty cool wearing new dresses. Don't know after how many years, today Jaya Bua's kitchen storage house was full of labalab.
Bua's face was slowly returning like a self-confidence but the truth was he still seemed like a dream. Bua ji had decorated rakhis in the plate. Had kept a box of dessert. As soon as Papa started tilak, Papa told Bua to stop. Everyone was surprised.
"Just wait ten minutes your other sisters are about to arrive. "When father said with a smile, everyone kept looking at father. That's why Bua, Mummy and Uncle came out running after hearing the horns of cars outside the door, all three Bua's family were in front.
Jaya Bua's house was filled with guests. Neelam Bua of Maharajganj started telling that some time ago he had told his father that why not all of us go on a journey to Char Dham together. Just papa called all three sisters that day it's time to visit Char Dham.
All the three Bua's agreed on Papa's statement and everyone had decided that this time everyone will gather at Jaya's house and help him with a little bit of money. Jaya Bua was just visiting his sisters and brother's family. What a big surprise everyone gave him today.
She kept hugging all the sisters. All together tied Rakhi to father. This kind of Raksha Bandhan was probably the first time for everyone. We all had dinner at a big restaurant at night, then shutting up, don't know when it's been long. Still Jaya Bua was not speaking much. She just wiped her tears while spilling in the middle.
Everyone laid down the sheet in the middle of the courtyard. Jaya Bua was clinginging to papa like a little girl. Believe this love and care she has been waiting for years. While talking, father suddenly found his father's body very cold and father was completely scared.
All the people woke up but Jaya Bua was dull. They probably had a heart attack.
Turat Bua was taken to hospital. The doctor told that nothing much, just had a heart attack like a minor. The body is very weak so could not tolerate this minor attack. Bring them to the hospital at the right time otherwise Bua would have slept in papa's lap forever.
Bua was hospitalized overnight. Some injections and medicines were given and discharged from the hospital in the morning. Bua couldn't handle the sudden happiness he had a heart attack. Well, if the end is good then everything is good. Now Bua was completely healthy.
While returning everyone assured Bua that he never thought himself alone. Relatives are not those who stand by in pictures, relatives are those who stand by in troubles and we are not your relatives, we are your family so no need to hesitate anymore. It has been decided from today that on every Raksha Bandhan one year I will come to your place and once you will come to our place.
Once in two three years we will all find a place in some excuse.
There was a strange relief on Jaya Bua's face. While leaving us, hugging her father like a little girl, she could say just this, brother. Today you have proved that if father is absent, elder brother becomes like father. I'm proud to be a sister of a person like you.
How do you like the story? If you like it then I will seek your blessings.
